Our MissionThere are so many pets and animals out in the world that have suffered abuse, neglect and abandonment or need a medical attention. Cause For PAWS was created with a mission of helping non profit organizations that promote animal wellness, especially with a no-kill policy. Our goal is to reach as many organizations as possible. Each store is designed to benefit 1 or more different organization. We really would like to reach the small organizations that are helping our animal friends. Below are the Organizations we are currently assisting. Second Chance Pet Adoption Inc. - A non-profit animal rescue organization that has served homeless cats and dogs in Wake County since 1989. Second Chance Pet Adoption is the first organization that CFP Thrift Ship began benefiting. They agreed to work with us and help us grow right from the beginning. We are very impressed with mission and the integrity of their volunteers. Currently all our stores give a percentage it's proceeds to 2nd Chance Pet Adoption. Paw Prints Animal Rescue - A non-profit animal rescue organization that just recently began its mission of serving homeless cats and dogs in the Wake County area. Paw Prints is another awesome rescue organization with all volunteers using there homes as a means of sheltering animals. Currently, the Saunders store also gives a percentage of its proceeds to PAW PRINTS Animal Rescue.
Company ProfileCause for PAWS came into fruition by the vision of Terry and Charles. They wanted to combine their passion of helping animals in need with the great deals and pleasure that comes from shopping in a thrift store. Cause for PAWS Thrift Shop first opened it's door on Jan. 7th 2005. Once the word got out they were overwhelmed from gracious patrons and caring people in the community who all donated either great things or there time. Before they new it in August of the same year Cause For PAWS thrift Shop opened it's 2nd store, with also server as a warehouse. In Dec. of the same year CFP moved it's locations from 1317 Hodges St to 2420 Crabtree Blvd. WOW!!!! What a year! Although, very tired, Terry and Charles are very happy and pleased with CFP's growth, mainly because it laid the foundation that will come to help many many animals in the future. To accomplish our mission, we resale donated and estate household items, furniture, appliances, ect. CFP gladly accepts donations of "recycled" or slightly used goods. We also buy some of these goods at below thrift store prices from non profit animal wellness orgs, estates and sometimes from the public.
